How Anadolu Efes Turned Every Green Bottle Into New Forest

Anadolu Efes, one of the region's largest beverage producers, wanted to move its sustainability commitment beyond reporting — into something its customers could see, track, and take part in. Through the Green Bottle project, every participating product became a direct contribution to reforestation, delivered by ecoDrone.

The Challenge

Like many large consumer brands, Anadolu Efes faced a familiar gap: strong environmental intentions that were hard to make tangible. Customers rarely saw where sustainability pledges actually led. The company needed a way to connect an everyday purchase to a real, verifiable act of ecosystem restoration — at scale, and without adding friction to the consumer experience.

The Solution

ecording integrated the ecoDrone Marked model into the Green Bottle campaign. Each marked product was linked to seed balls deployed by autonomous drones across degraded, hard-to-reach terrain. Consumers could follow the journey of their contribution through a QR code — from planting location to germination updates — turning a simple choice into a transparent restoration story.

Seed balls, hand-produced by women in rural communities, were dispersed by ecoDrone with precision targeting. Every operation was mapped and monitored with Nature Intelligence, ensuring each contribution translated into measurable growth on the ground.

The Transformation

In a single campaign cycle, the partnership deployed more than 7.6 million seed balls, restoring roughly 48,000 m² of land and sequestering an estimated 320 tonnes of CO₂. Beyond the numbers, the Green Bottle project gave Anadolu Efes a living proof point — a way to show customers, partners, and regulators that its sustainability promise creates real forests, not just headlines.
